Introduction

Momentum Financial Services Group is a leading financial services company serving primarily unbanked and under-banked consumers and small business owners. To meet the needs of these customers, DFC Global Corp. d/b/a Momentum Financial Services Group and its affiliated subsidiaries (hereinafter collectively referred to as “MFSG”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provide a range of consumer financial products and services primarily consisting of check cashing, short-term, medium-term, and long-term consumer loans, money orders and money transfers as well as other conveniences such as prepaid cards, utility bill payments and currency exchange.

MFSG respects and is committed to protecting the personal information of our covered individuals. We follow privacy policies and data protection practices to comply with the law and to earn trust and confidence in MFSG and its business practices. MFSG privacy policies and data protection practices extend by contract to our supplier and partner relationships. MFSG employees and those working on behalf of MFSG are informed about these policies and practices and are expected to follow them. MFSG privacy policies and practices reflect and reinforce the MFSG company values of trust, integrity, and quality.

The Momentum Financial Services Group Master Privacy Policy articulates the privacy and data protection principles followed by MFSG with regard to the personal information of its customers, including product, outsourcing and other services clients, partners, employees, former employees, and applicants ("covered individuals"). These principles support the highest privacy standards in international trade and commerce and human resource management.

Scope

This Momentum Financial Services Group Master Privacy Policy applies to the collection, storage, processing, transfer, and use of personal information concerning covered individuals except where the contract with a covered individual defines different requirements. Personal information includes any data by which a person can be identified or located, as well as any data to which MFSG has access in customer systems.

Personal information may be collected from covered individuals through a variety of means, including, as examples, in store applications, online applications, and service or employment processes. MFSG may also obtain personal information about covered individuals from other publicly or commercially available sources we deem credible.

This master policy governs customer and employee data protection policies.

All MFSG employees and contracted parties working on behalf of MFSG must comply with these policies, even if local law is less restrictive. Specific practices are tailored to meet the legal, regulatory, and cultural requirements of the countries and regions where MFSG operates.

Policy Fundamentals

Our privacy policies reflect current principles and standards on handling personal information. These principles include notice of data use, choice of data use, data access, data integrity, security, onward transfer, and enforcement/oversight. We abide by the privacy laws in the countries where we do business.

Master Policy Principles

MFSG adheres to the following general principles regarding personal data.

Notice and choice of data use

  • MFSG does not sell, rent or lease personal information of covered individuals without prior consent of such individuals
  • MFSG provides notice and choice to individuals regarding the type of personal information collected and its intended uses
  • MFSG reviews the purposes for which data is to be collected from covered individuals to ensure that our data collection supports reasonable business requirements.
  • MFSG does not use personal information obtained from covered individuals for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes stated in our notices.

Data access

  • MFSG provides individuals with reasonable access to the personal information they provided to MFSG and the ability to review and correct it, where applicable.

Data integrity

  • MFSG takes reasonable steps to ensure that all applicable personal information is accurate, complete and current.

Data security

  • MFSG is committed to protecting personal information against unauthorized use or disclosure.

Onward transfer

  • MFSG does not transfer personal information provided by covered individuals to third parties unless those third parties promise to give the data the equivalent level of protection that MFSG provides.
  • As a international company operating in many locations around the world, MFSG may use Global Delivery Centers located outside of the country where the data is collected.

Enforcement/Oversight

  • MFSG uses best commercial practices to obtain personal information by lawful and fair means.
  • MFSG complies with relevant privacy and data protection laws in the locations in which MFSG operates.
  • MFSG addresses complaints or disputes regarding personal information promptly and courteously.

When you visit our careers website at mfsg.com/careers or apply for a position with MFSG, the following additional terms apply:

Careers Website Technology

Our careers website is powered by Greenhouse Software, Inc. ("Greenhouse"), a third-party applicant tracking system. When you use the job search function on our careers page, your search queries are transmitted to Greenhouse's servers to return relevant job results. By using the search feature, you consent to this transmission.

Information We Collect from Job Applicants

We collect the following categories of personal information from job applicants:

  • Contact information (name, email, phone, address)
  • Application materials (resume, cover letter, work history, education)
  • Professional qualifications (licenses, certifications)
  • Information from the application process (interviews, assessments)
  • Search queries entered on our careers page
  • Online activity related to your use of our careers website

Service Providers

We share job applicant information with Greenhouse, which processes applications on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.

California Residents: Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how we use it
  • Delete your personal information (subject to exceptions)
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

Notice of Data Transmission

When you use the search function on our careers website, your search queries are transmitted in real-time to Greenhouse to provide job search results. By using the search feature, you acknowledge and consent to this transmission.

Amendments

This Master Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. We will post any revised policy on www.mfsg.com.
